Instagram is a social media app, part of Facebook (Meta).

This article provides an overview to get started with the Instagram connector in Peliqan. Please contact support if you have any additional questions or remarks.

Connect Instagram

Make sure your Instagram Business Account is linked to a Facebook page. Example:

System User Token

1. Create a System User (to have a permanent token): Facebook Business Manager > System Users https://business.facebook.com/settings<br>
2. Assign assets to the System User:
1. 2.1. Add Facebook page(s) - for the Instagram connector: select a Facebook page which is linked to the Instagram Business Account
2. 2.2. Add the app (with permission "full access")
3. Generate a token for the System User:
1. 3.1. Select your Facebook app
2. 3.2. Expiration: never
3. 3.3. Assign permissions: pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, instagram_basic

Instagram Business Account ID To get your Instagram Business Account ID, first Add a "Facebook Ads" connection.

1. Open the Pages table in Facebook Ads.
2. Find the Facebook page that’s linked to your Instagram Business Account.
3. Copy the value of the "Instagram Business Account Id" for that page.

Paste that ID into the Instagram connection setup.
